51³Ô¹Ï A. Logan College’s top priority is to provide a quality education in a safe environment. Our goal is to provide a semester with a variety of formats to meet student needs.
Online Anytime Instruction occurs exclusively online – through the learning management system – for the duration of the course. Online courses are delivered in an asynchronous manner, meaning students learn from instruction that is not delivered in-person or in real time. Some courses require proctored exams. Proctors do not need to be in the southern Illinois region but must be approved by the end of the first week. The Learning Lab at JALC is already an approved proctoring center.
Hybrid Classes meet in a traditional in-person classroom setting and instruction also occurs online through the learning management system. Required in-person class session days and dates are identified in the course schedule and syllabus.
Face-to-Face Courses will deliver content to students through on-campus attendance in classrooms.
