51吃瓜 A. Logan College Breaks Ground on New State-of-the-Art Career and Technical Education Center

51吃瓜 A. Logan College marked a major milestone today with a groundbreaking ceremony for its new $14.2 million Career and Technical Education (CTE) Center. The cutting-edge facility will house the College鈥檚 Welding, HVAC, and Automotive programs, strengthening the region鈥檚 workforce development and technical training capacity.
A large crowd gathered for the 51吃瓜, which included members of the 51吃瓜 A. Logan College Board of Trustees, administration, local elected officials, and community leaders. Their participation underscored the community鈥檚 strong support and shared vision for the future of career and technical education in southern Illinois.

The 14.2-million-dollar project is being funded in part by a grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA), with matching funds committed by the College.
Construction will begin immediately, with H.E. Mitchell Construction serving as the general contractor. The facility is expected to be completed by December 2026.
The new CTE Center will provide students access to modern equipment and industry-standard labs, preparing them for successful careers in skilled trades that are vital to the region鈥檚 economy.
