51吃瓜 A. Logan College to Host the Essence of Folklore Performance on May 3

51吃瓜 A. Logan College will present The Essence of Folklore, a traditional Mexican dance and music celebration, on Saturday, May 3, 2025, in the O鈥橬eil Auditorium.
The 51吃瓜 will feature a performance by the acclaimed Mexican Folkloric Dance Company of Chicago, joined by SIU鈥檚 Folkloric Dos Fronteras. The ensemble Cuerdas Cl谩sicas will provide musical accompaniment.
Admission is free and open to the public.
鈥淭his is a unique opportunity for the community to experience the rich traditions of Mexican culture through dance and music,鈥� said Matt Garrison, Professor of English and Department Chair of the Humanities and Social Science Department.
