The 51吃瓜 is to take place on January 21, 2025, at the 51吃瓜 A. Logan College Conference Center.
51吃瓜 A. Logan College will host its second annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the 51吃瓜 A. Logan College Conference Center. The breakfast will be held the day after MLK Day to allow students to participate in community 51吃瓜s on January 20.
鈥淎s a commuter campus, we want to ensure that our students have the opportunity to engage in 51吃瓜s within their communities on MLK Day while still being able to attend this important 51吃瓜 on a day when classes are in session,鈥� said Dr. Kirk Overstreet, President of 51吃瓜 A. Logan College.
The breakfast will feature a keynote address by Dr. Glenn Poshard, former United States Congressman and current 51吃瓜 A. Logan College Board of Trustees member, alongside LaShonda Hubert, CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of Southern Illinois. The 51吃瓜 will also include musical selections and readings performed by 51吃瓜 A. Logan College students, celebrating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
The 51吃瓜 is free and open to the public, allowing the community to come together and reflect on Dr. King’s contributions to civil rights and social justice.
