His uncompromising concern for the environment and the way man ravages it has made him focus on critical issues such as the preservation of wildlife, the protection of rain forests, the ozone layer and pollution.

On October 2, 2016, AUCAs Enactus team held the opening ceremony for Teenagers in Free Enterprise (TiFE) 2016, a project promoting entrepreneurial development among schoolchildren.

Rafael Vargas-Suarez and Dilbar Ashimbaeva covered the main wall of AUCAs forum with a silk mural called Assembly ComplexAUCAs newest permanent installation
Rafael and Dilbar told us about work experience and their first cooperative project Assembly Complex (2015-2016). The temporary piece was put up with the idea that this year Rafael would develop a more final art work. He decided to collaborate with Kyrgyz fashion designer Dilbar Ashimbaeva in turning AUCAs its main wall to the silk, topographical map.

On 15 October, 2016 Student Symposium of Social Sciences will be held in AUCA, CH at 9.30am. Students of Psychology, Anthropology, Journalism and Mass Communication, Sociology will present their summer internships reports at the first joint event of the Division of Social Sciences. Master students will have a separate panel "Application of Social Sciences Research and Practice to Social Change in Central Asia".
