The best AUCA students received their awards for the academic achievements

September 4th saw the first Knowledge and Convocation Day Ceremony take place at the 51³Ō¹Ļ University of Central Asia (AUCA). The ceremony recognized academic excellence of the students who had made the Presidentās List and the Deanās List.

āToday we give awards to Deanās List and Presidentās List and we hope that these students will serve as a role model for other students at university,ā Dr. Andrew Wachtel, the president of AUCA, said. Dr. Wachtel thanked the parents for the opportunity to educate their children.
This year, 12 senior students, from Business Administration, Economics, European Studies, International and Business Law, International and Comparative Politics, Journalism and Mass Communication, and Software Engineering, made the Presidentās List. 98 students from Anthropology, Applied Mathematics and Informatics, Business Administration, Economics, European and 51³Ō¹Ļ Studies, LAS, Journalism and Mass Communication, International and Business Law, International and Comparative Politics, Psychology, Sociology, and Software Engineering, made the Deanās List.
To make the Presidentās List, a student must have a minimum of 180 credits, a cumulative GPA of at least 3.8 and have no āFā grades on his or her transcript. To make theĢżDean'sĢżList, a student must have a minimum of 60 credits, a cumulative GPA of at least 3.67, and have no āFā grades on his or her transcript.
